All LCAS dogs are fostered in private homes. We do not have a facilty and all volunteers work full time. Most dogs are transported to our scheduled adoption events which are listed on the events page. Please do call first to make sure a particular dog is coming to an event. Sometimes the van is overfull and dogs get the day off. Other arrangements can be made for meeting a dog if you are out of the area, or work weekends. If you are viewing this dog through petfinder.org, PLEASE CLICK THROUGH to the Lake County Animal Services webpage to get more detailed information about this dog.

CERES is the cutest little Chihuahua pup who was found wandering the streets in Modesto and was picked up by Stanislaus County Animal Services. We rescued him from Death Row ranks due to desperately over crowded conditions. He is feisty, and so sweet we keep calling him a her. Seems to be housetrained; I think it's Pluto who is leaving the small puddles. Ceres is funny looking, playful, well adjusted and getting crate trained. (this is not going well..) update: crate training IS moving forward. Ceres cuddles, and clings like s cat, but races about the yard and barks like a dog.
