All LCAS dogs are fostered in private homes. We do not have a facilty and all volunteers work full time. Most dogs are transported to our scheduled adoption events which are listed on the events page. Please do call first to make sure a particular dog is coming to an event. Sometimes the van is overfull and dogs get the day off. Other arrangements can be made for meeting a dog if you are out of the area, or work weekends. If you are viewing this dog through petfinder.org, PLEASE CLICK THROUGH to the Lake County Animal Services webpage to get more detailed information about this dog.
This beautiful pup is doing great. She came here very shy, and took a couple of days to get used to us. After a couple of days, she was cuddling, greeting, and playing. It took a few trips to town to get her used to that, but now, she is pretty good about getting in the van, and she walks on leash in town like she's done it all her life.
She would not hurt or bite anyone. She is pretty happy hanging on the deck, and I see it as a bonus that she hangs so close to the house. I sit with her while she eats and she wags her tail madly. I can touch her food while she eats.
