All LCAS dogs are fostered in private homes. We do not have a facilty and all volunteers work full time. Most dogs are transported to our scheduled adoption events which are listed on the events page. Please do call first to make sure a particular dog is coming to an event. Sometimes the van is overfull and dogs get the day off. Other arrangements can be made for meeting a dog if you are out of the area, or work weekends. If you are viewing this dog through petfinder.org, PLEASE CLICK THROUGH to the Lake County Animal Services webpage to get more detailed information about this dog.

Jocko is an active Jack Russel terrier mix. He LOVES people, LOVES kids, LOVES men, and will chase birds. I assume he will also chase cats but don't know for sure yet. He seems housetrained, plays well with others, stays by me on walks, but when he was in a neighborhood he did runoff. There is something about the openspace we live in that dogs just do not run off from here. But apparently, he tried it from the home of the people who found him. He never actually got away as he didn't run far from people. No one claimed him after he was taken in, and now he is with us. He is not good with birds in cages, and will chase birds in the yard. He hasn't caught one.
