All LCAS dogs are fostered in private homes. We do not have a facilty and all volunteers work full time. Most dogs are transported to our scheduled adoption events which are listed on the events page. Please do call first to make sure a particular dog is coming to an event. Sometimes the van is overfull and dogs get the day off. Other arrangements can be made for meeting a dog if you are out of the area, or work weekends. If you are viewing this dog through petfinder.org, PLEASE CLICK THROUGH to the Lake County Animal Services webpage to get more detailed information about this dog.

January 27 Rose is a quiet girl. She gets along well with my 2 male miniature Doxie's. Plays with them, sleeps with all of us. She still does not come immediately to me when I am walking around, but if I sit on the couch, she is beside me in a flash.
She would do well with a family that has a friendly small male dog who knows what is expected of him in that family. She is a beauty.
Rose is a lovely quiet Black & tan female long-haired Dachshund. She will do well in a variety of QUIET households. Rose was returned because she did not come out of her shell at her first adoptor's home and their existing dog did not like her.
